I went to the library to borrow books on a sunday! Goshhhhh.

*pats on my back*, at least a tick off my to-do-list.

Then i typed parental involvement letter. Will give out the letter tomorrow, hopefully parents cooperate and bring the items needed for lesson by wed so that lesson on fri wld be a success :)

just need to see how i show display them. in flower form? in kite form?

hmmmm.....

A different working saturday..

Wrking sat!

Tcr rozana on saturday off in liu today.

So..

Only me n hajar on duty today.

It's a different working sat.

Chn who are involved in filming on mon are called back to practise dance frm 730-930 today.

So i went over the other bay wif huda and val to practise the dance.

Hajar was left alone to look aft the chn then.

I prayed tt there wldnt b too many chn coming today.

Aft the dance, i went back to help hajar.

Hhehehe.

Happy tt only 3 chn turn up; alan sihong shirleen.

Plus jzann and junyi (whose parents left aft they drop their child incentre to practise the dance), we only have 5 children :)

Schyer came at a later time about 11, for lunch.

So we have 6 children :)

(wanxuan was nt here. Guess she is sick or went holiday? Since she wasnt in sch on fri too.

Adia didnt come too. Guess She is still unwell as she had fever ytd.

Yen wei nt here too. Mayb bcuz its march holidays n parents brought him n his siblings out..

Weiliang nt here too. Hmmmm).

Anyway, lunch was yummy.

I called up those parents who didnt fetch their children to school today for dance practise to remind about monday's filming.

I prepared the fine motor corner. Just need to print and laminate the photos and the corner is ready for chn to play:)

i have 6 trays at my fine motor corner.

2 for transferring of beads,

2 for screwing and unscrewing bottles.

2 empty.

so i decided to do feelings mask. (so that komathi's group of children can benefit and play too since only my group get to make the feelings mask)

Knock off ar 2pm.

I rushed to british council at napier road.

I walked tor half an hour frm orchard mrt.

Dumb me, shld have just taken a bus.

Anyway, i finally register for IELTS eng exam:)

Last day of revision week! Ahhhhh!

How fast.

We are going into term 2 from next monday onwards!!

Anyway, a teacher called teacher tee cheng is attach to our centre for one day.

Ms rai reminded us to be on our best mode as teacher tee cheng is a friend of ann qi(someone frm HR). Ms rai doesnt wish to teacher tee cheng to give any negative remarks about us teacher and our centre to ann qi.

We finally went outdoor today.

BUT IT IS SERIOUSLY HELL FOR ME!!

She gt to walk in front! Hate it hate it hate it....,

She just blindly walked and followed hirah's todd class and ignore the pg chn who are walking slowly while admiring n commenting on the little things in the environment.

She has 4 chn with her while i had to oversee 12 who are walking slowly.

The most angry part is when 14 chn stopped and look at the numbers on the lift.. And she jus continue walking with 2 chn and ask the rest to follow.

I stopped to look at the lift with the chn. And she shouted to ask them to hurry up. Sigh.

I feel sad tt my pg chn have such teacher.)

Back in class, had lunch.

I Decided to help komathi and take out mattress bcuz i dun wan class to so messy later when komathi is handling thechn alone.

Especially when tcr tee cheng is here!!

showering time.

Tcr tee cheng came into toilet n wanted to help.

But its a wrong timing.

Bcuz i was changing cayla and uwizz (i rejected tcr tee cheng help as these two children are more "troublesome". Hahahah.

Cayla's soiled clothes n towel must be in diff plastic bag, need to put emu oil on her legs and hands, need to comb hair, mattress cover and blanket different from the rest.

Uwizz need to put prinkly powder on his back, diapers cant be too loose yet not too tight if not he will "complain". )

I wanted to do captions for butterfly.

BUT i was asked to go the other bay to teach the nursery and k2 chn te dance.

I tried my best.

Initially i made mistake as i was quite confused since i m doing mirror image for children to see.

Felt worst when wu lao shi said to caleb "i think the other teacher can dance much better".

( i think she is referring to tcr huda.)

I must agree that other tcrs dance much better, but i jus felt tt she can save her comments to herself. I am trying my best, especially when i had never try dancing mirror image and i havnt been practising since tue. Unlike other tcrs who had been practising with the chn on wed n thurs too.

Whatever it is, i smiled :) bcuz i knw it myself tt i tried my best..

It's 3pm.

I suppose to go back to my bay to wake my chn up.

But as this dance is the most important agenda at the moment(as we will be filmed on monday at marina barrage), i had to stay at nursery k1 k2 bay and continue dancing.

Time flies. It's 430pm.

I am supposed to knock off.

But still, chn dancing is not acceptable :(

So we continue practising dance.

OT till 5.30pm.

And the process of claiming OT sucks.

(tcr val ask wu lao shi to stay n claim ot. She didnt ask me to.

Sooooo, i can go off right? Yet she keep giving me tasks to do; cutting notice (asking parents to fetch their chn to sch tmr to practise dance for the final time) so tt we can give parents when they fetch their children..

Since i am doing her task, i should be paid OT isnt it?

It's not that i am calculative, but i just felt unfair and lost.

Wu lao shi was asked to stay bk, i was not asked to. But i gt tasks aft tasks.

Sighhhh.

Anyway, i jus ask val and claim OT till 5.30pm)

Really thankful that hirah, ding li and juliee helped me with my pg while me and komathi are at the other bay busy with dance.and hajar was at the other bay too, looking aft k1 chn since tcr rose and chengcheng both not in centre.

Went back to office bay ay 530.

Stayed in the toilet and gt updates frm hirah while she changed a child's diapers.

She mention tt ms rai commented on our term 2 dramatic corner.

-we cld have add a pond and have magnetic fishing activity

-our materials are richer as compared to term 1, but dramatic corner seems like dumping ground currently(as we jus place items everywhere).

Ms rai will be giving us till wed to do up te dramatic corner.

I Left at 630pm wit hirah.

Really no mood to stay on, wldnt be productive.

And tt's it. Friday ended.

According to wap, we are supposed to have sand and water play on thurs..

But well, since principal is not in, hirah n i initially plan to go outdoor.

But end up. We didnt go outdoor toooooo.

We gt the chn to decorate stuff to place at the dramatic corner for term 2(which is of upmost importance currently).

Hirah get the children to paint the egg case green, to make caterpillar.

I gt my chn to decorate their kite using markers. I Prepared only enough laminated sheet for my group of children to decorate. I purposely didnt prepare for komathi group (as i felt tt it is unfair for me to keep spoonfeeding her. Tsk)

Sickening komathi still got te cheek to ask me "you do kite with chn, then i do what?". Sigh.

I told her to introduce to chn the insects in the dramatic corner (i lied to her tt i had nt enough laminating pouch to laminate kite for her group of chn..)

Time pass super fast during their lunch n shower time!

During chn nap time, me n hirah ordered komathi help paint the bushes (not really order, but just tell her. These kind of ppl dun take initiative, so need to tell her exactly wat she need to do).

Anyway, time to wake the chn up :)

It's sherman's bdae. Wheeeee.

Komathi change wrking shift wif me.

So she wrk till 4.30pm.

(i already told her why i didnt wanna change shift wif her initially; bcuz i wld stay back to do dramatic corner). She said she wld stay til 6 to do dramatic corner before rushing off for class.

I was left wif no choice but tochange shift wif her(cuz she alrdy let ms rai knw tt we change shift n she wld stay to do dramatic corner).

Ohwells!

Yesterday, she txt me say she cant stay till 6 today as lecturer is very strict. She said she wld stay till 530.

But end up, she only stayed till 515!

And the thing is, she didnt help the dramatic corner at all.

We asked her to wrap the corrugated board with biege paper.

There's no more biege paper in the cupboard -.-!

And she didnt knw how else to help us! Haishhhhhh.

I worked till 630.

I stayed till 730 with hajar.

We relook at te dramatic corner; bushes in praticular.

So hajar painted another styrofoam green.

I will continue tmr to stick the butterflies up :)

I rushed off to popular to buy plastic sheet(to cover the leaves on the floor) and crepe paper(for bushes) and biege paper(for corrugated board).

Then went home for dinner and slept.

Too tired to do anything else.

Esp when i need to wake up early tmr as i m doing opening..

Its alrdy 4th day of revision week.

EDS visit...

Komathi on leave today.

I was alone wif pg till 930 when hajar came.

I had more chemistry with hajar as compared to komathi.

Hahahaha.

Anyway, Eds came abt 9.

I was so panic. Cuz i m suppose follow curriculum n conduct hands on. I m thinking hw shld i do tt when i have 16 chn wif me.

I split the class into 3.

One group play feeling mask, another play manipulative while i take a group for hands on.

According to WAP, it is tearing of items.

I gt the chn to tear crepe paper n gt them to paste on butterfly template (which i already prepared).

Hajar came at 930, n she took a group for hands on. She gt them to tear magazine n paste it on butterfly template.

Soon, its lunch n showering ;)

While hajar oversee the last few chn who were eating, i took out mattress.

Then i read story to the chn.

Sherman n uwizz ran away.

I cldnt stop them n leave my group of 10 (who are listening to the story) alone.

Esp when eds n ms rai was in my classroom.

I jus leave both of them alone as i continued the story.

N the nxt min, sherman had bitten uwizz!!

Haiyooooo.

But i did withness uwizz hitting sherman using the book, mayb tt's wat provoke sherman to resort in biting.

Applied cold water(which i pyscho uwizz tt it is ice) on uwizz wound.

Called uwizz mum to inform about situation.

Had meeting with eng tcrs, ms rai n eds from 1.30pm-3.30pm!

Stayed back aft i knock off at 5pm.

Tear down the term 1 dramatic corner.

Set up term 2 dramatic corner with hajar and tahirah.

Left at 8.45pm :)

Felt happy tt at least the skeleton of term 2 dramatic corner is there.

Swap shift wif komathi!

Change shift wif komathi.

So.. She owe me one mrning shift.

Came at 930.

ms rai was doing a quick apprasial wif me. She also asked me to help her with recovering files frm her hard disk.

Dilly dally and it dragged till 10.10am?

So we missed the timing to go outdoor :(

Hajar went over the other bay to help....

I split my group, get half of them to play blocks while the other half play at the dramatic corner :)

Quite fruitful experience.

Anyway we gg change dramatic corner soon, so shld allow chn to play it before it's gone. Hahahaha.

Then its lunch:)

Showering the chn is the happiest time yet stressful time of the day.

Happy cuz i am with the chn on a one-to-one basis.

Stress bcuz of komathi. She doesnt seems to handle the children well. They are running all over the place, mattress not laid, temperature not taken. And she can still use her bloody handphone! Wat is this man!!

I really stress n afraid tt accidents might happen one day.

Anyway, pat the children to slp.

Me tgt wif val komathi n huda practise the dance steps for filming nxt mon (for kids-in-charge event).

Time flies and we had been dancing for abt an hr.

Hmmmm.

Children wake up.

High tea ;) and komathi had to go over to te other bay at 330pm to help k1.

So i am alone with the 17 children (one absentee; zuyao).

I read books.

Then they seems to lose their interest.

So i split into smaller groups;

One group play manipulative,

Another group at discovery corner,

Another group at library corner.

Wu lao shi came at about 4.

And enrichment lesson starts at 415.

So.... Frm 415-5, i am only left wif 4 children ;) hw nice.

Bt at 5, when lao shi went off and enrichment class ended, i am left with 17 children again.

Okay, lesser than 17 as isaac shermaine alan went home. So i am left with 14. And its nt tt bad as hajar came over to help me ;)

Its soon 530 aft they all finish drinking water.

I showed them feelings pictures frm my laptop :)

Time passes so quickly, its 630.

And ohno, i am left with adia kathleen xavier haziq cayla amber. 6 chn.

But all of them left within 10min. The last child; haziq left at 640:)

Happy much.

I clean up the place.

Did evaluation.

Photocopied a few pages of the notes which hirah lend me (for IELTS exam sooooooon).

Left the centre abt 740 :x

Hope tmr will be a great day.

Though most likely it wldnt be since EDS visiting our centre -.-!

Yesterday was sunday, today is ??? Monday!!

Early in the mrning, ms rai asked me to send her parents profile.

Lucky i had a copy wif me :)

Then.. Start wrk at 730.

Things were pretty much settled.

Bringing in children, singing of songs.

Get them to drink water. Didnt gt to go outdoor as hajar was helping the other class at the other bay.

I split my group into two. One group play toys while the other play with feelings mask. Then swap.

It's soon 11am. Lunch :)

And i did showering.

Wan komathi was outside laying mattress and taking temperature and handling the children.

And i thought she was doing a great job outside when i was doing showering as the noise level were pretty much incontrol.

But i was totally wrong.

When i went out to call children in for shower, she was busy laying mattress leaving children all around playing toys n reading books. Children even threw the toys out of the class -.-!

And when i finished showering all the children, i came out wanting to pat children to slp. End up, i realise she lay the mattress all over. It wasnt the same arrangement as previous week.

I was mad, so i rearrange everything to be like last week (i feel tt certain things must be consistent for children to adapt).

Anyway, its chn nap time.....

Had meeting, lots tt we had discuss.

-parents orientation on 30th march

-Kids In Charge event on 9th june

Ms rai talk to me personally about field trips.

We are going to have one on 17th may to botantic garden.

And she wants me to organise one musical show to esplande on 22april!

Julian bump his head. I realise it only when i am sending him off. I asked him n he say he falll while aunty mopping floor. I did smth tt was against integrity :(

I trusted him and told grandma tt he ran and fall while aunty mopping floor and tt we had applied ice.

I felt bad to lie abt this.

Sigh. I shld be more honest in future :)

Had yummy chocolate cake. lucky i called uwizz mum to ask if uwizz can eat or nt as uwizz cant eat chocolate!!

Andddddd. The enrichment teachee gt pay and bought gongcha and curry puff for us teachers :) hw appreciative :)

I went over to te other bay to wash plates (cause alan grandma didnt bring paper plate and we had to use school plate to eat alan bdae cake).

I did it willingly Bcuz aunty was not tasked to wash plates tt had outside food on it. Esp cake, too creamy i guess?

I wash it aft my wrking hours.

I m proud of myself :)
