Full day back in centre.

Supposed to be observing the centre, that's the main reason the enculturation program send us back to centre.

But apparently when I am back in centre, i will take charge of my class.

Hmmmm.

This morning, I had a talk with Ms Rai.

She was talking about the occasions to celebrate.

It is not sufficient to just provide the occasions and date.

Wee should discuss as a team the things we wanted out of the occasion.

For example: todd draw mother on mother's day, everyone in centre to have lunch with father on father's day, go Jamiya home visit on children;s day.

Need more planning.

And Ms Rai was asking about field trips.

We were lack of that in the planning calander.

She gave some suggestions such as indoor visit of sensory experience at the science centre.

And i noted that it will be due on 25th Feb.

Gosh, am i supposed to plan this?

another point Ms Rai mention is our learning corners.

There are more to be improved,

However, she said we can relook at at after CNY1

So yessssssssss,

This afternoon, I called Uwizz parents to ask about his situation as he havnt been coming to school for the past 4 days.

I hope this do build relationship.

Talking to Xin Rong and Joe parents regarding their children settling in school were initially stress.

After which, it's more casual.

I felt good to have made the call, as it's teacher's responsibility to settle the new children.

Regarding the mixed up of underwear of Joe and Isaac,

I had asked for the description of Joe underwear.

After which, I personally called Isaac mum to inform her about it.

Hope the underwear could be found and returned to Joe.

Hope this case close soon.

And Ohnooooooooo.

Before Nap, I spotted red spots on the upper roof of Rayden's mouth.

After nap, when we checked, there were two red spots.

We had seperated him from his classmates.

Besides, I had contacted his mum regarding this matter.

I hope it is not HFMD.

I hope Rayden recover sooooooooooon.

Stayed back a little after 4.30pm to do my observation report for my enculturation program.

Gosh, it is 12pages looooooooooong.

On top of that, i need to do a poster on 3 things that i had learnt from this encu;turation prgram.

What the hell is Komathi doing?

Asked her check if the other bay has brown paper bag, as we need it for lesson.

And she did not checked.

She only realise it this morning that there is Art and Craft.

So she got Hajar to buy.

Ahhhhh!

I already bought!

Sickening.

Perhaps it is my fault for not communicating with her that I got the paper bag too.

sigh,

Now one packet of paper bag will be wasted as only one packet can be claimed!

Anyway, second half of the day when I am back in centre, things were pretty much settled.

Diapering, High Tea.

Wu Lao Shi came over for lesson.

She took Komathi's group, and i am left with my group(:

Sang some songs, introduce to them the board with their fish crafts and let them drink water.

Oh yessssssss,

I had marked attendance on schnet.

Helped Hirah with her todd attendance too(:

And i updated log book.

Then it's time to go home!

Key Point: Whenever a biting case occur, do explain situation to parents.

Be apologatic.

Most importantly, come out with follow up action.

Example: will speak to biter's parents and work hand in hand to prevent such things from happening.

Wang Lao Shi did not know Komathi did not fed Zachary, and told mum tt it was fed just tt it was not written down.

After finding out from Komathi, then they realise they told mum the wrong information.

And they leave it as it is, i lie.

I heard from Hirah tt Hajar is doing all the job; shower, diaper, send children off, even lesson!

Thankful tt i had Hajar who can helped me managed my children when I am away.

At the same time, I felt super guiltyyyyyyyy,

And i got Komathi to send me the WAP for the week as i am going back tomorrow and thursday (attachement for enculturation).

Supposed to be for observation of centre,
But i guess i would need take my class and conduct lessons.

As i saw the WAP, i almost fainted.

Everyday "Pick up things with thumb and pointer".

Even art and craft!

Tt's not what I saw from the curriculum leh!

Had enculturation today,

And i called Komathi today when I am having lunch.

wanted to check if she gave Jin Cheng bdae goodie bags (as i tasked her to).

As expected, she had not.

Sighhhh..

Talked to Komathi once again after my course.

Glad that goodie bags were given out.

When asked about attendance, Sigh, not done.

Reason: Can't log in into sch net.

Okay, reason accepted.

Next on the list.

Soft board, songs and rhymes were up, great job(:

But title "songs and rhymes" are not up.

She say she will get it done tomorrow.

hmmmmmm, let's see!

She told me that Joe brought home an extra underwear that doesn't belong to him and mum returned it today.

She realise it's actually Issac's underwear.

Then Julian had same encounter.

He brought home an extra set of clothes.

But Komathi couldn't figure out who does it belongs to.

She asked if I know.

Hmmm.

Of course I don't.

Cause i m on course on Firday and I wasn't present to do showering and diapering.

Gosh.

I got to be careful of her!

She just wanted to "push" the blame to me as I was in charge of showering and diapering the whole of last week.

Except for friday since i was on course.

She overlooked the fact and wanted to blame it on me that children clothes got mixed up.

went back to centre though it's not my working saturday.

I just wana complete displaying my children work as i wouldn't come centre next week since i am on enculturation.

Very productive today.

Decorate my board with CNY fish craft.

Used a corrugated board and shelf for displaying CNY fan craft.

Thanks to Fadilah for helping me put biege paper on the black corrugated board.

Even trainee teacher hlped me.

Sigh,
I wonder what my partner main teacher is doing!

and i hang the lantern i bought and the CNY lantern craft that the children did.

I also put up the CNY orange craft. heeeeeeee.

Thanks to Fadilah and Waheedadh who helped me hang it up as i had to rush off for dental appointment.

worked from 7.30am till 11am.

Glad these 3.5 hours are not wasted.

And Liu Lao Shi gave me feedback about CNY fish craft.

Instead of using red paper to decorate the fish, i could have sued red packet.

And the bubbles, could have used liquid paper instead of drawing it.

curriculum briefing for first half of the day.

Today for first half of the day, I went for PG Term 1 Curriculum Training.

Talked about MFS Skool Educare approaches and curriculum.

Went back to the centre for next half of the day.

I went to Nursery bay first since i reached earlier than my working time.

Oscar remembered me. He called me "Tcr Huimin" and gave me a hug.

things were pretty much settled at my bay too.

There were only about 10 playgroup plus toddlers at about 5.30pm.

I was showing the children videos of CNY songs.

I reminded them not to touch my laptop or speakers.

As i was away for a while, Hajar took my laptop up.

Then Rayden said loudly "Cannot touch Tcr Hui Min laptop"

Rayden's dad spoke to me when i was sending him off.

His dad said Rayden mention a lot about me at home.

Komathi on course in the afternnon, so she is only in centre till 12pm.

gosh.

Initially, i foresee a busy shagged dayyyyyyyyyyyy.

But afterall, it's not that bad (:

first half of the day, when Komathi is still in centre, things were still managable.

I managed to fold fans with my group(:

Then i get them to play at discovery corner quietly(:

And OMG!

I saw Komathi using her handphone while she get children to do drawing!

N goshhh. Sherman drew on the cupboard, she was sooooooooo mad aft tt.

this kind of thing could have been avoided if she had take notice in the first place.

Sighhhh.

It would be a teachable moment for the children who drew it too.

But sigh, i wasn't paying attention to her group,

Hence, the teachable moment was lost.

What's more.

She should be paying attention to her group and not use handphone when children are around!

After which, it gets a little tense as we rush the children through shower and lunch.

And ooooooooops, i forget to take temperature of children.

Lucky Hajar reminded me(:

Nap time was alright.

I was busy collating the number of children joining the enrichment class,

And i helped Wu Lao Shi claim her OT hours,

and i managed to browse through the curriculum for next week.

Still, there is not enouugh time to read through all the curriculum files to note the field trip dates.

Hence, i had not draft out my calander planner :(

I am the only one left with 13 children.

Lucky wang Lao Shi and Hajar did helped me look out while they take care of toodlers.

I felt upset when Heiirishaa and Julian did not have the fan as I distributed it to the children while they fan their fan while watching video.

So i did marble painting with Heiirishaa and Julian.

Quick quick one.

While i placed 9 children near a table to watch video

Glad that they are all engaged and did not run around.

Amazing.

(except for Baihaqi who sat at a corner to do puzzle).

I apologise to Uwizz parents.

Cuz a few days agao, we wrote in comm book that we wld appreciate if Uwizz come in at 9am cuz we will start our lessons then.

Their reply were "will talk to ur principal about it"

Thus, we inform Ms Rai about it to prevent misunderstanding.

Ms Rai told us off; we shouldn't write such message in comm book.

We should jus verbally inform parents.

Besides, we should understand situation first before we write such message;

Uwizz stayed in Punggol, hence have difficulty coming centre on time at 9am.

especially when dad is working shift work and mum is working at 10am.
