There's 17 children present todayyyyy.

8 from my group.

today, we stick to our own group.

With MingXuan, Julian, Rayden, Zu Yao, Baihaqi, Isaac, Shermaine, Heiirishaa,

We managed to form our group name: Rainbow group.

Heheeeeee.

I took 5 for craft work (pasting eyes on fish) while i left the other 3 to play puzzles.

Still managable.

Very glad(:

then I brought them to the discovery corner.

I taught them how to play the toys appropriately by sharing.

Noise level in control,

managed to standardize the name sof tracking list and parents signing attendance list.

Thanks to Hirah, now we just need to cut one whole chunk and paste instead of cutting one by one and paste(:

And i manage to redo the health check list.

Now it is according to group, easier to take temperature in future(:

Somewhat, i was malign by aunty.

she said i said there were only 18 children in our bay, BUT i did not!!

ahhhhh!

Clarify with her during lunch break(: hehehehe.

Ms Rai said tt it's dangerous to let the children sit on chairs outside toilet while waiting for their turn to shower as children might lose balance and fall off.

Hence, she said we should get the children to sit on chairs around table and allow them to play manipulative while waiting for their turn to shower.

We should improvise her plan accordingly tomorrow!

Folded the fan using the children's work(marble painting).

Sang songs while the used their fans to fan themselves(:

I was alone handling 13 children from 4.30pm-6.30pm.

Goshhhhhh.

Lucky my day had ended(:

Imbalanced.

A day whereby i felt lost.

I manage to get the children to complete the fish.

I cut their orange paper plate and allow them to paste it using red rectangles paper.

I decided to split job with Komathi as I cant be the only one doing work.

I get her to do marble painting for the fan with her group as I am done with my group.

And guess what?

She took 2 children, Wu Lao Shi took 2 children.

And i am left with 14 children at the dramatic corner.

Oh noooooooooooooo!

I manage the children well initially when i only have 8.

And i manage to take photos of them playing at the dramatic corner (which is needed for documentation)

Anyway, i felt bad.

I did not help Komathi clean up the paint and the aprons.

But to think about it, why should i?

It's her who used the things.
She should pack up after use what!!!

Sighhhh.

I feel imbalanced!

Overwhelmed by things and children!

Today, I started the food schedule system.

Hope it will turn out to be fineeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Quite productive today, i would say.

I manage to get all the children that is present to paint their fish orange.

And around 6-7 children did marble painting for the fan.

Quite happy with it already.

And i marked attendance on schnet.

And i discuss with the teachers on the occasions to celebrate;

one thing off my to-do-list.

BUT dramatic corner not touched yet.

And I havn't read my curriculum guide.

Oooooooops.

Today, I kind of ignore Komathi,

Maybe that's why I am happier today?(:

best day of the week: Friday

Today is the best day of the week.

Perhaps because it's Friday and Weekends are near!

Anyway, today is a happyyyyyyyyyyy day.

I felt more calm and in control of my children.

Especially during transition (between diapering and tea time) when i get them to sit on chair when i entertain them with songs.

Amazingly, most of them sat down and sang along with me.

What a great sense of achievement(:

Actually, i am not productive today.

Did not manage to get my children to do crafts for CNY!

As Fadilah is not here to help me today, there's only me and Komathi in class.

I don't want to leave her with such a big class while i get 2-3 children to do crafts.

Still, it is a happy day as i manage to put up my bdae chart(:

They are all attentive when i talk to them about their bdae balloons(:

Besides, I manage to introduce to them the CNY songs.

Now they can say chinese sayings like "Gong Xi Gong Xi", "Xin Nian Kuai Le".

And.....

There's staff meeting this afternoon.
Initially it's to send one representative from each class to go to the other bay.

And Komathi volunteered herself!!

Ohmygoodnessssss.

She is only good at volunteering things that can get her ass out of the bay (Yesterday she also volunteer to bring Isaac bdae cake to the other bay to distribute it to other teachers)

Anyway, the meeting was held at our bay.

Soooooooo many procedures to take note.

Changes here and there; in schedule, outdoor play, planning time.

I broke down in front of Hirah today.

I can't control.

I just felt mad when Komathi is still busy with WAP when the deadline is today!

Thurday!

Such last minute work.

I seriously don't know how many times she need to use the toilet a day!

and she can stand around talking to Hirah for loooooooooooooooooooooong time instead of looking after children!!!

Gosh.

I can't believe she is taking leadership course!

OMGNESSSSSSSSS!

Hirah's dad told her something very meaningful.

And she shared those words with me(:

"It is a challenge, a bomb.

And when we pull through it, our lives will be much easier in future"

I guess so, and i hope so.

mid-week!

I am so glad that Fadilah is here to help my class(:

Only 14 children todayyyyyy.

And i am feeling that they are out of my control!

I can't imagine when i have full attendance of 19 children!!

I get the children to do painting for CNY decoration.

Proud that I manage to get 10 of them to paint within half an hour.

But i felt guilty for leaving the rest of the children to Fadilah and Komathi.

Anyway, I introduce to the children the bowls, cups and plates in the dramatic corner.

I also taught them how to keep it using the shadows (:

YAY! so happy to see them pack up after they played at the dramatic corner.

Cayla's mum approach me and asked if i fed Cayla medicine before high tea.

I was lost.

I don't know there's medicine to be fed as it was not written on the daily schedule (that i had implemented).

I had overlooked it.

Felt really really really bad.

Sigh.

Why didn't Komathi write it down?

and i should STOP pushing the blame on others!

I should have checked the medical box!!

I should be more aware of these stuff in future.

first wrking day of Yr 2012

It's a tiring day.

But at least i felt that I did a great job in settling the children in the morning.

(singing the good morning song, hello song, there are 7-days songs, weather song, silvery fish song, all the fishes swimming in the water song)

Introducing them to one another seem like a good idea as I captured most of their attention as I showed them the board.

Giving them new cubby hole seems to be interesting to them.

At least all of them felt belonged(:

Ms Rai said we should lower down our volume
as having no voice will become a word hazard for us.

I am still working on that!

I am trying hard to meet the minimum requirement!!

I am going home to do shadow of the items in the dramatic corner.

This is so that the children would know how to keep the items(:

It seems like an easy task,

BUT it require a lot of steps; drawing, cutting, laminating and cutting again!
