Parent-Teacher Conference 2012

Woke up at 5.30am!
Reach school at 7am!
Did some touch up of portfolio, files and environment before PTC officially begins at 8am till 2pm!

I was expecting 16 parents but only 14 turned up.
Xin rong and sherman parents didnt came

 Anyway, i find my very first PTC a successful one!:)

 At 2pm, when last parent left, ms jessie gave us a list of things that are missing from the daily admin work.
And so i tidy up medication form, tracking list, health check list, attendance sign in sign out list !

 And ms jessie say she couldnt find my tracking list from jan to apr.
Hajar and i searched up down left right for it but no to avail :(  S
hall continue searching on mon.

 Reached home at 3pm.
And slept toll 8pm!
Muahahaha.
Shiok!

a day before PTC is a sleepless night!

I was nearly late for work.
Reached at 6.55am!

When hajar came at 7.30am, i seek her understanding to look after the children
while i took lap top to print out the edited port folio.

Sad to say, i only manage to print 4 children's portfolio as the printer ran out of ink.
And that would mean i need to print the remaining 6 portfolio from home. :(

 At 9.30am, Me and hajar each take a group.
We did show and tell session of children's favourite item from bedroom and dining room (parental involvement since they brought things from home).
It was pretty engaging when children could relate to the items they brought.

During children's nap time, lots of admin stuff was done.
Photocopying of song list, south eastern checklist, strengths and weakness of children!

 Ohyesyes. Joe is back frm china.
And he celebrated his post bdae in centre!
Oreo cheesecake! Yummy man!

 I did "welcome to PTC" sign before leaving wrk for school!

I went back to centre with hajar (after i end school at 10pm).
We reached centre about 11.15pm!
I set up environment of practical life skills corner, put up bee display, arrange portfolio
while hajar helped with dramatic corner.

 We stayed in centre till 2am.
Then we cab home together!

Back at home, i continued to print portfolio, sort it out, laminate stuff till 340am.

 Damn tired!

midweek of the 7 days madness!

Went to work a little earlier, at 6.45am.
Put up the bee documentation!
But ahhh!
The photos are with hajar and she is on mc today.
 Nvm, shall put the photos up tmr!

 Anyway, fadilah helped me with playgroup since hajar is not here.
I divide star group into two,
asking one group to play puzzle
while i gt fadilah to read book to another.
Purpose is to let her better manage the children since it will be a smaller group of children.
However, those children who were playing puzzle went to join her when she is reading a book
and end up, she is reading to a group of 9!
Hahahaha!

 Still managable though until.... Amber overflow!
Hajaha!
Then it started to get messy.

 Oh, while fadilah was with star group,
i was talking to half the rainbow group about the alphabet books they made.
While the other half of the rainbow group were playing puzzle.
 Then i swapped these two groups!

 Did showering!
Then nap! I helped nurul with selecting popular songs of term 1 and term 2 which nurul will compile and print it out so we can give parents during PTC on sat.

 Time pass super fast and it's time for me to knock off.
I left for school.

And guess what?
I Slpt at 4am!
I was busying typing and editing script for performance on sat (and since i wldnt be able to attend due to PTC, i did extra wrk by editing the script)
And i also start making neccessary changes to the portfolio (which ms jessie edited).

finally completed "blooming with books" project

Wohoooooooooo!
Great job to hirah and hajar for finally completing the report and video for the most happening award thingy!
And of course i did contribute too, by placing everything in place and looking after children while hirah or hajar are busy doing report or video :)
Yay! We did it tgt! :)

 And ahhhhhhh!

I m jus kind hearted to remind her abt port folio.
End up she push blame on me..  

I must be positive! 
At least she is no longer in this centre!

really really tired after a week of wrk and sch!

Ms rai called hajar into the office to discuss with her about the blooming with books event.
 And so, i took 18 children at one go.
Successfully divide the class into 4 groups of 5.
Manage to get them to do scooping, go into puzzle corner or discovery corner.

 Did showering since hajar busy.
While i was inside toilet, hirah looked aft 20plus children :(
Then ms rai ask hirah in to office and hajar came out.
So hajar looked aft 20plus chn.

 Finally it's children nap time:
And I fall aslp too! Omg!
Hirah commented that it was rare to see me sleep during children's nap time and that i must be really really tired!
Indeed, i am!

And it's just tuesday!
Gosh!

 As usual, went to school after wrk!

Halfway texting boyf. he asked where am i, and i said bedok waiting for train.
just when i enter the train, he text me "are you sitting at third seat?"
it kind of freak me out.
then i realise he is in the same cabin,
pure coincidence (:

unsuccessful attempt to postpone PTC date!

I went to work at 6am.
Went so early to do up my big notice board!:)

It is term 3 week 1! 
How time flies! 

 Today's lesson is on fixing puzzle. 
I took out the puzzle from te cupboard and cockroach jumped on me!! 
Ahhhh!  

 Anyway, i split the group into two; 
one is to introduce the board i did 
while the others played with puzzles first. 

 I wanted postpone ptc from this sat to next sat!
 But failed :( 

 Ms rai say i shld have inform her prehand tt i have class on 30th so she can make alternative like having ptc on 7th july. 
But i didnt tell her. 
N she cant do anything now esp when parents alrdy commit themselves to meet me on 30th at certain time. 

 I was reflecting why i didnt let ms rai knw tt i have class on 30th. 
Then i recalled My reason for not telling at tt time was because i feel tt ptc more impt, so i will sure skip class. 
Who knows i have presentation on 30th as its last day of 2nd module. 

 Awwww. My bad :( 
 Lucky my group mates are kind enough to understand and emphatise with me, they allow me to skip class on saturday!  

 Went to school with a heavy heart.
 Sometimes, i wish i am smarter!

Performance on a saturday!

It's saturday!
Yet i have school!

 Had reader's theatre performance!
We were the last group to present!
Made the audience laughed like mad with our singlish!
Hehehhee!:)

Anyway, i went home and did preassignment for 2nd module.
 I also prepared term 3 documentation for big board!

 That's all for a saturday. 
Shall enjoy my sunday tmr!

GREAT service training day 2

Centre closure again, just like yesterday!
We had GREAT service training at payar lebar!
Michelle is really a great speaker who motivates pple!:)

 Rushed to school after training!

 Rehearse tmr performance in my head over and over again.

 I was a little late for school.
5min late only though since training end at 545pm instead of 6pm.

After school, i went back centre to remove the term 2 stuff on big board!
Then i quickly left for home.

 I slept at 4am!
Did sch wrk-searching for materials to be compiled into script to be performed out on sat!
 And it's alrdy thurs. hence, i got no time to waste.
Which results in me sleeping at 4am!

 Gosh.
Sleep deprieved!

a slacking day during revision week!

I got my rainbow group to play manipulative or block corner while hajar got star group to play discovery corner or dramatic corner.
Kind of slack as we just get them to play.

Then about 1030, i felt guilty for not following wap(whereby revision week was meant for revising the skills they used in term 2).
So i suggest to hajar that we should do some gross motor activities, which is crawling being emphasized in term 2.
We improvised the activity by getting children to walk one round around the sofa, the crawl towards blocks, get a block and crawl back.
Children did enjoyed themselves!:)

During children nap time, i wasnt productive.
Perhaps because i am quite tired!
But i did think about the layout for big board for term 3!
Since parents will Most likely take a look since they are coming nxt sat for PTC!

 After chn high tea, i exchanged with wu lao shi and went to relieve k2 while lao shi teach playgroup!
Hajar helped me to get children to decorate house using ice cream sticks!:)

Oh yes, i did the checklist for wanxuan in her first two weeks in playgroup since komathi didnt do it! Tsk!

Work end and that means school starts!

"Just like my handphone battery, i am 50% now after work! after night class, i will be close to 0%, yet i had to do assignment and catch up with work stuff! jiayou, way to go!!"

 reach school and recieve a flower from a newly made friend.
that really make my night!(:
